Austin’s art party of the year, Artbash, kicks off Art Alliance Austin’s two weekend art experience, art exhibition, spirited hub and lounge. The evening begins with a VIP reception at the Pershing where guests will mix and mingle with artists in the exclusive venue. Following the VIP reception, guests will gather in the Pershing Gallery for Artbash Main Event where event goers can experience new artist work, site-specific installations, live performances, music by SXSW DJ and interactive activities. Artbash provides a unique destination for art enthusiasts, artists, galleries, critics, collectors, scene junkies and casual creative class followers. The exhibition will feature many of the Alliance’s Austin partners such as artists Bale Creek Allen and Terri Thomas.
The Art Alliance Austin exhibition will be open to the public both weekends of East Austin Studio Tour and will have additional programming and events throughout the tour. Artbash will layer temporary site-specific installations and performance pieces over the existing exhibition to create an exciting evening for art and a preview of the East Austin Studio Tour.
