Help a child explore the culinary world when you enroll them in this culinary camp! Con' Olio Oils & Vinegars is excited to announce their very own kids’ culinary camp this summer. Check it out this Wednesday, July 24th, when the camp shows children how to cook Mexican cuisine.
There is always a new and exciting way to cook traditional foods we know and love, and this culinary week of cooking challenges chefs to create their culinary interpretation of some classic. The class will start with an introduction to basic culinary skills such as safety, cleaning and choosing menu ingredients.
After the chefs choose their ingredients for each menu, they will utilize new and existing skills and create delicious snacks, meals and desserts with recipes and reviews printed for each day of cooking, including a section on Food Safety Tips.
All classes encourage interaction so after these chefs create and plate, they will present their dish to each other. These are "challenge" days that will give them an opportunity to cook, display plating techniques and speak about their favorite items in cooking, creating and hanging out in the kitchen.
Each one of these classes gives the opportunity to work with different ingredients, practice knife skills, learn cooking techniques, and try out different oils and vinegars from the shop. All classes are gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian.
